What is Your Public Info IQ?

Some information really is private, and some information is public, but I think many individuals fail to understand the difference between the two, and how this can relate to their personal state of affairs. As one who dabbles in the investigative arts, I find that that the key to finding information is first imagining that it exists. Historical information may be readily available, but what current information is available for the world to see?

  2. Not related to the current post, but I thought you would like it. I remember reading about credit cards on here and recently went to a financial speaker. One of the things he said was "if you can eat it, drink it, or wear it, it does not go on credit!" He had a lot of really good advice. This year I have really cut down on using my credit card and have been bringing more cash with me lately :)

  4. Way to go! That is great advice from that speaker! One more great piece of info that I kind of (really) ignored at your age was this: Put $ into a Roth. I do that regularly now, but if I had been able to have even more in the market when the market went sour, I would have come out in even better shape! We did have an advisor who taught us the smiley-face principle with the stock market: Buy when it's looking bad, because it will always go back up! I had some family members who sold all their stocks when the market plummeted and it just makes me sick to think that they lost so much when if they had stuck it out, they would be in great shape! Anyway, I can't wait to give the answers! :)
