Taking in a beach requires exploration, and that simply isn't going to happen in an Adirondack chair or on ones' back on a towel. Tide pool photos will follow later. Our beach exploration adventures begin with C asking, "Are you ready?" and then quickly flipping rocks on a beach to see what curious creature is hiding beneath.
We then put them back, replace the rock, and move on. Our discoveries often consist of spiders, starfish and a wide variety of tiny crabs, but this time we found something new! It started like this:
I followed the tracks, and after a little sand removal, we saw a flash of red:
And then we put him back so that the kids up the beach and the gulls wouldn't do him/her harm...
