A Christmas Credit Poem

Tis the month before Christmas, and all through the land,
Consumers are consuming with plastic in hand.
Merrily buying up bargains and deals,
In hopes that their loved ones receive them with squeals!
With so much distraction, and so much to do,
Consumers won't notice the credit card crew.
These fiscally floundering fiends plot your fate,
And while you are busy, they jack up your rate!
So read ev'ry notice, observe ev'ry line,
Or your credit card rates could be thirty plus prime!
Regulations are coming to hold back the tide,
Of creditors plotting - they'll be on your side!
Although heros are welcome, one wonders, "What If -
Those souls being rescued hadn't stepped off that cliff?"
So in light of the season of giving in kind,
Perhaps less is more, with credit in mind.
